Keyboard Shortcuts

Study Hub is primarily a mouse/touch-driven interface. This page documents any keyboard shortcuts and quick actions available.

General Navigation

Navigate between fields	Tab / Shift+Tab
Submit forms	Enter (when focused on submit button)
Close overlays/modals	Escape

Form Inputs

Text Fields

Action	Shortcut
Select all text	Ctrl/Cmd + A
Copy	Ctrl/Cmd + C
Paste	Ctrl/Cmd + V
Undo	Ctrl/Cmd + Z
Redo	Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + Z

Date Fields

• Click to open date picker
• Type dates directly in YYYY-MM-DD format
• Use arrow keys to navigate calendar

Dropdown/Select Fields

Action	Shortcut
Open dropdown	Space or Enter
Navigate options	Arrow Up/Down
Select option	Enter
Close without selecting	Escape
Type to filter	Start typing while dropdown is open

Multi-Select Components

Action	Method
Open dropdown	Click or Space
Select multiple	Click items (doesn't close)
Close	Click outside or Escape
Remove selection	Click the X on selected item

Rich Text Editor

When using rich text fields:

Action	Shortcut
Bold	Ctrl/Cmd + B
Italic	Ctrl/Cmd + I
Underline	Ctrl/Cmd + U

Browser Shortcuts

Standard browser shortcuts work throughout Study Hub:

Refresh page	F5 or Ctrl/Cmd + R
Back	Alt + Left Arrow or browser back button
Forward	Alt + Right Arrow or browser forward button
Print	Ctrl/Cmd + P
Find on page	Ctrl/Cmd + F

Quick Actions

These aren't keyboard shortcuts but quick ways to perform common actions:

From the Sidebar

• Click avatar - Go to Profile
• Hover sidebar - Expand to see labels
• Click navigation item - Navigate to that page

From Studies List

• Click row arrow - Expand/collapse study details
• Click "Details" - Open study overlay
• Click "Edit" - Open study in edit mode

From Inbox

• Click mention - Open related study and note
• Click follow-up - Open related study and note
• Toggle buttons - Switch between Personal/Team mentions

Accessibility

Study Hub supports standard web accessibility features:

• Tab navigation through interactive elements
• Focus indicators on active elements
• Screen reader support for labels
• Keyboard-accessible forms and buttons

Tips for Efficiency

1. Use Tab navigation - Move quickly through forms
2. Type to search - In dropdowns, start typing to filter
3. Escape to close - Quickly dismiss overlays and dialogs
4. Enter to confirm - Submit forms and confirm actions
