Editing Your Profile

This guide covers how to update your personal information and settings.

Accessing Profile Edit

  1. Click your avatar or the settings gear in the sidebar
  2. Navigate to your Profile page
  3. Click Edit to enter edit mode

Editable Information

Name

Update your display name:

  1. Click on the name field
  2. Enter your updated name
  3. This affects how you appear throughout Study Hub

Profile Photo

Upload or change your photo:

  1. Click on your current photo or the upload area
  2. Select an image file
  3. The photo uploads to secure storage
  4. Your new photo appears throughout the app

To remove your photo:

  1. Click the remove option
  2. Your photo reverts to a default avatar

Tags

Add personal tags for organization:

  1. Access the tags section
  2. Add relevant tags
  3. Tags can help categorize your work

Affiliations

Set your process and location affiliations:

  1. Select your process affiliations
  2. Set location affiliations if applicable
  3. These help organize your work

Read-Only Information

Some information cannot be edited directly:

Saving Changes

  1. Make your edits
  2. Click Save to keep changes
  3. A success notification confirms the update

Canceling Changes

To discard edits:

  1. Click Cancel before saving
  2. Changes revert to previous values

Profile Photo Guidelines

For best results:

  • Format: PNG, JPG, or GIF
  • Size: Keep files under 5MB
  • Dimensions: Square images work best
  • Content: Professional, identifiable photo

Viewing Your Profile

In view mode, you can see:

  • All your current information
  • Your assigned roles
  • Your team memberships
  • Quick links to your templates

Best Practices

  • Keep information current - Update when details change
  • Use a recognizable photo - Helps colleagues identify you
  • Review periodically - Check that info is still accurate
